All poultry except waterfowl and pigeons must be negative to the rapid whole-blood plate test for pullerum and typhoid diseases applied within 90 days prior to the opening date of exhibition providing that no test shall be required on poultry originating directly from parent stock tested and found negative within the preceding 12 months.
An officially recognized form signed by an authorized agent must be presented to show compliance with this section. Official forms from other states shall be approved by the officialagency of state or origin. Each bird shall be identified and band number recorded on the officialform.
- exhibitors are urgently requested to read the rules, as they will be enforced and ignorance of them may prove fatal to successful competition.
- Entry fee must accompany the entry in each case and transportation charges must be fully paid.
- All birds entered fro competition should be listed with poultry Supt. by June 25, 2010.
- All birds entered for competition must be entered singly.
- No exhibitors to show more than 2 entries in each class.
- No exhibitors to show more that 16 entries combine.
- Terms used are defined as follows:
- Classes will be provided for all breeds and varieties of Poultry recognized in the American Standard of Perfection.
- Entries in 4-H are not eligible for Open Class. Separatebirds are needed to enter Open Class.
Cash premiums to be paid are as follows:
Chickens, Bantams, Pigeons, Rabbits, Ducks and Geese.
Lot 1 - Cock, male bird over 1 year old in each breed.
Lot 2 - Hen, female bird over 1 year old in each breed.
Pigeons will be accepted in these 3 classes all compete with each other.
- Fancy breeds
- Racing Homers
- Utility squad breeding breeds
Rabbits:
Classes will be provided for all standard breeds for senior bucks, senior does, over 8 months, junior bucks, junior does, under 8 months.
